Rustic Wine Barrel Double Door Cabinet

Always wanted a wine barrel but space is limited so everything must have a purpose? Wine barrel cabinets can fill this niche. They allow you to have the wine barrel and are functional so it’s not just taking up space.  The top is a table and for those with small spaces, there’s double doors to open. Each door will be about 9” wide. Store items inside. 

RECYCLED: The wine barrel cabinet gives us the outside of a real wine barrel with its hoop, rack and wine stains. The fact that the cabinet is also made from retired wine barrels adds a special touch for those who are sensitive to ecology and recycling.

UNIQUE:  The cabinet is made of 1“ solid white oak. We cut out a door approximately 18” wide and 22” tall depending on each barrel. The cutout from the barrel are the doors. We might attach a shelf inside or glass holders or even a wine rack or a mixture of these thus making the barrel more functional. The bottom of the barrel (included) can also be used as a shelf. Door latch may be different than in the pictures. See some of our other Cabinet barrels for other options.

 We use a Danish oil with a medium walnut stain to finish the cabinet. We find that each barrel takes the stain and oil in its own way along with their markings being slightly different, hence no two cabinets will be the same.  And since the staves are different sizes, even the doors might not be the exact same size.

OPTIONS: There are many options you can add to your wine barrel cabinet. See some of our other cabinets for other options.  Here you can add 1 shelf. You can also add an ebony stain with black hoops instead of medium walnut with galvanized silver hoops.

CUSTOMIZE:   Our standard is to place the shelf in the center of the barrel. Email us or call us if you want the shelf in a different position, higher or lower than the center.  Remember, the barrel bottom is also a shelf.

Please note that although the same care and quality is put into all of our products, there will be natural variation due to the wood selection (either French or American white oak), wood figure, winery or cooperage markings, wine stains from the inside of the barrel, and other factors. No two pieces will be identical and each has its own story to tell!
